Laguna Libra is the internal space that informs my art.

I work predominantly with oil on canvas, drawing inspiration from the ages of life, reality and fantasy, nature and technology. My paintings form through visualising dreams or memories, often featuring beings, human or mythical.

A focus of my work is the female form. These figures can relate to my experiences living in a woman's body, reflecting the sensations and the forces that surround it, as well as the experiences of others.

With Scottish and Scandinavian roots, I grew up hearing whispers of folklore from mermaids to trolls and fairies to will-o’-the-wisps. I create with colour, depth and dimension and enjoy exploring the contrasts and blends of existing in this world or the next.
